Malta residency and visa program was launched in 2015 and allows you and your family to reside, settle, work or study indefinitely in Malta. With your EU residence card, you can freely travel to any Schengen country without the worry of obtaining a visa. Furthermore, you and your dependents are allowed to stay in any Schengen country up to 6 months in a year. The Malta residency program can lead to a long term European residency permit which will allow you and your family to be able to settle in any European country. This programme follows on from the success of the Malta Citizenship by Investment program and was introduced by the Maltase Parliamentary Secretary for Competitiveness and Economic Growth.
